Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookbook author as well as an Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002, and has been aired for 27 seasons till 2020. Ina was employed in the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and the budget. While she found it to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the business extremely profitable before selling it off and grabbing a pen and writing her first book. After that, several cookbooks were published and she also wrote magazine columns. In the meantime, her Food Network show was also a success. Additionally, she sells items that range from food items to storage containers and tools. Ina did not go to a cooking institute and hasn't had any experience in a restaurant. She is self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known. The most well-known recipes include Skillet - Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
