Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian as well as an American singer/songwriter. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock, but it also has hints of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award-winning. Being one of the women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own label. The parents of DiFranco, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while students at the same school. Her father is of Italian heritage, while her mother is from Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the song 32 Flavors. The track was first released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. Another version of the song is featured on the film soundtrack for 1999's Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate.
