Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and performer, is known for her part as a member of the cast on the show 'Saturday night Live.' After attending an improv workshop in the age of 9, she began her career as an actor. The initial plan was to become an actress, but realized she was gifted in comedy. Thus, her main focus changed from acting towards comedy improvisation. Her first professional gig was with a cruise ship doing shows with fellow performers from Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong continued to perform in popular shows like Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest, and Virgin Daiquiri, the only female improv group. She became famous in 2012 when she was featured as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" during its 39th season, as a guest cast member anchoring Weekend Update with Seth Meyers in the beginning, as well as Colin Jost later. Cecily's greatest moment was when she played the character of 'The girl who you would have preferred not to start conversations with at a party'. She made her debut as a movie star in the movie that was also titled "How to Sponsor an Uterus".
